Rippling Effect Video (Viewing)

This is a video of five individuals that will be discussing their personal lived experiences of being impacted or of losing a significant person in their life due to suicide. Message will include their journey, learning about self, the impact (rippling effect), resiliency, hope and strength. Through their losses or experience they will be continuing on their journey of healing by reaching out to others who have been touched by suicide or educating those who have not. Following the presentation there will be a facilitated discussion by a representative from the Regional Suicide Prevention Council.

Budgeting Workshop

• Learn to stretch your dollar and budgeting tips. We have also partnered with financial institutions to discuss credit scores and how and what affects a credit score. Financing tips and more....

Kids and Drugs Parent information

FREE PROGRAM

This program offers information as a guide to prevention and is intended to inform and advise parents and caregivers who want to learn more about their role in preventing their school age children (generally 8-15) from using or abusing alcohol and drugs. The focus of the program is prevention, not intervention or treatment.

Goals for this workshop are:

• Understand your role when it comes to Kids and Drugs
• Learn a few practical strategies around communicating
• Learn more about commonly used drugs, risks and preventative factors and peer influence
• Share information and ideas with other parents

This program will be offered:

• over 2 Saturdays, April 10th and 17th
• from 9am- 12:30pm
• at FCSS or Tofield Town office (depending on registrations)
• coffee and muffins will be provided

OR

• Condensed 1-day program from 9:00 – 4:30 on Saturday May 1st.
• Coffee and light lunch will be provided.

Smoking Cessation

Our Community Repsonse team will be handing our Smoking Cessation packages in our community thoughout March and April.
