Tofield's Centennial Celebrations

July 1-5, 2009

A great celebration was held in July 2009, to celebrate Tofield's 100^th anniversary as a town.

The Centennial Parade on July 1 was one of the largest on record, taking over an hour to pass any given point. Huge crowds cheered all the parade participants as children scrambled for tossed candies.

A souvenir DVD that visually reviews the many Tofield organizations, schools, churches and businesses which have served the community over the last 100 years was distributed with ticket packages. This digital souvenir will be available at the celebration and local outlets and is designed to be a memento of the Centennial. It is an excellent complement to the history book. Copies are available from the Town Office.
